To Open a V8i Drawing in CONNECT Edition

This procedure will detail how to upgrade and open your OpenPlant PID V8i drawings in the CONNECT Edition interface. In this example, the V8i drawings are stored in a local directory but they can be opened from a ProjectWise datasource as well.
  1. Double click on the OpenPlant PID icon on your desktop.
    Note: You can also launch the application from the Start menu.

    The OpenPlant PID Workpage displays.

  2. In the Workpage, select a WorkSet from the list and click the Browse button to navigate to the location of the drawing.
  3. Select the drawing and click Open. The following message displays:
  4. Click Open to open the drawing in the selected WorkSet. The V8i drawing will need to be upgraded to the latest version of OpenPlant PID . This will be done automatically while the drawing is being loaded.
  5. Once the upgrade is complete, the following message displays:
  6. Click OK to open the upgraded drawing in the CONNECT Edition interface.
